Office Solutions
Vault, logistics, dealer-network access — without the overhead of local representation. Outsourced Hong Kong presence for international houses that need it without opening an office.
A Hong Kong office is six months of paperwork and ten years of rent. For most international jewelry houses, dealers, and family offices, that is the wrong shape of commitment for the level of activity they expect. We are the alternative — a Hong Kong presence with the operational depth of a serious local house and none of the overhead.
Hong Kong sits at the centre of the Asian coloured-stone trade. The September and March editions of the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair are the largest of their kind globally. If you are serious about the Asia market, you need a Hong Kong presence — but for most international houses, opening a representative office is a fixed commitment far in excess of what their actual activity in the region justifies. Office Solutions is the answer to that mismatch.

The process
Four stages, onboarding in two to four weeks
-
01
Scoping
A conversation, in person or by video. We surface the activities you expect, the timeline, your home jurisdiction's reporting requirements, and the confidentiality level.
-
02
Engagement framework
A written framework — what we will do, what we will not do, what activities sit inside or outside scope. Contracts are typically annual with quarterly check-ins.
-
03
Onboarding
KYC, AML documentation, insurance scheduling, vault inventory setup, network introductions where called for. Typically two to four weeks.
-
04
Operations
Routinely written status updates, quarterly review meetings, immediate notification of anything material. Termination is mutual on 60 days' notice.
Who this is for
Office Solutions clients fall into three groups: European and American jewelers expanding into the Asian market who want a Hong Kong presence without the regulatory complexity of incorporation; mid-tier dealers who need HK presence specifically for the twice-yearly trade fairs; and family offices with Hong Kong-domiciled coloured-stone assets that need ongoing vault, valuation, and operational support.
Frequently asked
How is confidentiality protected?
A mutual NDA is signed at scoping. Our staff are bound by individual confidentiality agreements covering all client matters. Vault records are held in segregated client folders and not accessible to unrelated staff. Where you do not want a particular activity attributed to you, we represent it as our own without your name attached. All of your items can be stored in tamper proof bag if requested.
What insurance covers our stones?
Stones in our vault are covered under our standing Jewelers Block policy, with substantial declared-value limits per stone. For stones above standard policy limits, we arrange supplemental schedule coverage in advance. Transit insurance is separately scheduled for each movement, with FedEx Priority for mid-value shipments and Brink's (or courier of choice) secure transport for high-value movements.
